Georgia Communities We Serve

Gainesville

For over ten years, programs for the Baker & Glover Community operated out of Gainesville First United Methodist Church. The Church has watched children from Baker & Glover grow up. In 2018 Path Project & Gainesville First United Methodist partnered to open the first community center to continue serving the students of the Baker & Glover neighborhood.

Sugar Hill

Sugar Hill Church had been praying for the Peachtree Village mobile home community for years. They began visiting programs in Gwinnett Estates to learn about the Path Project model and how this might fit with their ministry. In 2016, the Path Project launched in the Countryside Village mobile home community launched not far from Peachtree Village, and SHC leaders grew interested in discovering even more about exactly how to get involved. While all this was taking place, Peachtree Village was purchased by Riverstone Communities, a company that happens to be a Path Project strategic partner! With that, SHC came on board to help launch Peachtree Village in 2017 with much excitement! A community director, volunteers, and a trailer soon followed, and Path Project programs will be in full force in August 2017!

Loganville

Gwinnett Estates began simply as a friendship between the founders of Path Project, Jim and Melinda Hollandsworth, and the Ramirez family who lived in the community. Through this friendship, a weekly homework program organically evolved that grew larger each week under the name Hope Center. Over time, the programs in Gwinnett Estates became more structured and positive changes began to be evident. Out of this, Path Project emerged with a DNA embedded in lessons learned and a solid framework for each new community launch.

Bay Creek began as a partnership with First Baptist Loganville. FBCL continues to be an active partner, sending volunteers and providing resources while Path Project oversees the day to day operations of the community. Bay Creek is tight knit community filled with energetic kids who have been lovingly adopted by a local Sunday School class who makes sure needs are met and that Bay Creek is covered in prayer.

Lawrenceville

Pine Valley emerged as the entire city of Lawrenceville rallied to be a place where the heartbeat was community. These committed groups of people are the reason we were able to purchase a community center, and launch programs in Pine Valley Community in September of 2018.
